Dubai will hold a new 10-day Electronics Festival in April 2027. The Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) announced it on 27 July 2026, as part of a wider 2026-27 promotions calendar built to bring back a dedicated sale window for tech shoppers.

Shoppers get a real reason to time a tech purchase instead of guessing when the next good deal shows up. Smartphones, laptops, gaming consoles, TVs, and home electronics all get a fixed sale window rather than scattered promotions spread across the year.
Retailers get something just as useful: a calendar slot that DET actively promotes. That kind of official backing usually means more footfall and more press than a store gets running its own sale alone.

A safe bet for the venue is Dubai World Trade Centre, since that’s where GITEX Shopper and most past electronics shows ran, but nobody has said so officially. If you’re planning your trip or your budget around this festival, wait for DET’s own announcement in late 2026 instead of building plans on a guess.
Dubai’s calendar already has three big shopping seasons built around Ramadan, Dubai Shopping Festival, and Black Friday, plus Back-to-School promotions in between. Electronics deals show up in all of them, but tech is one category among many, not the reason the sale exists. You get room to build an actual campaign instead of throwing together a last-minute discount. At the forum, speakers told retailers to stop running blanket, store-wide sales and start targeting specific products at specific customer groups instead. A fixed festival date makes that kind of planning possible in a way ad-hoc sales never do.
